Former Bristol Eastern girls soccer standouts Karly Martin and Myah Croze were honored by the Little East Conference on Monday for their efforts last week on behalf of Western Connecticut State University.
Martin earned Women’s Soccer Goalie of the Week for the second straight time after stopping seven shots and allowing just one goal in a pair of Colonial victories. Martin is 4-0 so far as WCSU goalie and is ranked second in the LEC in saves with 27 and fourth in goals against average at 0.75.
Croze was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring three goals and tallying one assist for seven points in the wins over Ramapo and Wentworth. Croze had two goals and one assist in the 4-1 victory over Ramapo, then added another goal in the 2-0 win over Wentworth. Croze leads the LEC in goals with six and is second in total points with 13.
WCSU is 4-0 overall and plays again Wednesday against Vassar College at home at 4 p.m.
