Viens tallies 100th career wrestling win

A second Bristol wrestler reached the 100-win career milestone on Saturday. This time, it was Bristol Eastern senior captain Luke Viens.
When Viens pinned Portland’s Jesse Andrew in 32 seconds, he earned his 100th career win. Viens was far from done winning as he secured three more pins (33 seconds, 4:46, 1:46) on the way to the 132-pound championship at the Highlander Invitational in Portland. As a team, the Lancers captured first place with 217½ points, well clear of second place Canton’s 174½.
Viens has been on a tear on the mat for Eastern. At Branford’s Shoreline Duals on Jan. 24, he went 4-0 with four pins as the Lancers secured second place, falling to only Killingly, ranked in the Top 10.
