Edward Williams Jr. was his usual self on Saturday at a rainy and windy Greater Bristol Invitational, which was held at Bristol Central.
The Sacred Heart senior claimed first place finishes in the 200m dash (23.66 seconds) and 110m hurdles (14.50). Williams also competed in the long jump, where he finished second at 21’9″.
Kladji Cepa took second in the discus with a throw of 129’7″. Victor Lopez placed fifth in the 100m dash with a time of 11.66, and he was the final leg of the fifth place 4x100m relay (46.76), following Nicholas Trujillo, Nicholas Turner and Joseph Badillo. Nyron Drunnamanio finished sixth in the high jump at 5’8″, and the 4x400m relay of James Bona, Turner, Aidan Knappe and Jesse Xhuti placed sixth with a time of 4:02.54.
Jenna French led the Heart girls with a third place finish in the 800m (2:31.23) and a fifth place finish in the 1600m (5:37.99). The 4x100m relay of Elysa Lopez, Veronique Recile, Beverly Okoronkwo and Asia Chapman took fourth with a time of 54.00.
