This date in history: Wolcott, St. Paul finish strange two-game, two-site stretch

The Wolcott and St. Paul baseball teams were forced to play twice in the same week last May due to copious amounts of rain.

The Falcons were forced to move a home game to Wolcott High School. St. Paul knocked off Wolcott that day, 3-2, at Wolcott High School. Ryan Parent was the offensive hero for the Falcons, posting a home run and RBI single.

Wolcott moved its home game to St. Paul, and it was played on Friday, May 10. The Eagles got their revenge, 4-2, in 10 innings over the Falcons. Dane Hassan drove in the go-ahead run int the top of the 10th inning, then closed the game out on the mound in the bottom of the 10th.

Here is my story about the two games.
