Bristol Eastern girls basketball keeps on winning

The Bristol Eastern girls basketball team has figured things out after a slow start. The Lancers topped Wethersfield 65-56 on Monday night on the road to get to 10-7 on the season.

Eastern got off to an 0-3 start and was 3-5 through its first eight games. The Lancers have won seven of their last nine contests since, including Monday night’s victory over the Eagles. Ciara Collins poured in 20 points while Jordan Ouellette added 18 points. Meredith Forman, Sage Scarritt, Paige McLaughlin and Avery Arbuckle also contributed to the offensive effort for Eastern, which finished three points off of its season-high of 68 points (Jan. 15 vs. Middletown).

After the Wethersfield road trip Monday, the Lancers finish the regular season with three straight home games. Eastern hosts Plainville on Thursday at 6:45 p.m., then plays Rocky Hill on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lancers play Bristol Central next Monday at 6:45 p.m.
