DiLoreto signs with UHart soccer

Bristol Eastern boys soccer senior goalkeeper Nate DiLoreto realized a Division I dream on Wednesday.

DiLoreto, well known in CCC circles as a strong backstop for the Lancers, signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the University of Hartford. He was a two-time all-CCC South Region honoree.

DiLoreto’s pandemic-shortened season ended Wednesday when Eastern lost, 3-2, to Central. The Lancers also lost a close game Tuesday, 2-1, to Farmington. Eastern was the No. 4 seed in CCC Region B while Farmington was the top seed.

In 2019, DiLoreto was part of a CCC South Region Patriot Division championship team that went 14-0-2 and earned the top seed in Class L. That team had a first round bye, then won a second round game against No. 16 Bunnell, 3-0. They lost, 1-0, to eighth-seeded Guilford in a tight quarterfinal game.

Eastern gave up just six goals during the regular season and seven in 18 total games. DiLoreto was a huge part of that, and he now hopes to be a big part of Hartford’s future.
