The Rams swept both the girls and boys meets, with the latter happening in dominating fashion. The Top 10 boys finishers were all Central runners, led by Mark Petrosky in first place and Matt Roy in second place. They were followed by Devin Flores, Pacifico Flores, Nate Deangelo, Ben Stafford, Jose Ramirez, Eric Knox, Ian Kreciglowa and Leo Kavanaugh. Eastern’s Ben Wadowski was his team’s first finisher in 11th while St. Paul’s Aidan Reilly crossed in 12th.
The top spot in the girls race belonged to a freshman, Eastern’s Avery Braccia. She finished ahead of the Central duo of Alex Sirko and Paige Hinton. The team score between Central and Eastern was close, but the Rams took a 25-31 victory and won the city meet for the ninth straight time. Central topped St. Paul 17-43, and Eastern won 21-34 over the Falcons.
The boys took the city meet for the 14th consecutive time. Central beat both Eastern and St. Paul by the score of 15-50. The Lancers defeated the Falcons 25-32.
The three schools turn their focus to their league championship meets next week.
