The Bristol Junior American Legion baseball team has been having a great season, but they took it to a whole different level on Tuesday evening at Page Park.
Trevor Mays (5 innings) and Nick Ruffino (2 innings) combined on the mound for a perfect game in a 3-0 victory over Glastonbury. Not only did Mays and Ruffino team up for the perfect game, but they did so in inclement weather at Page Park.
All 16 players present for Bristol played in the game and got to share in the rare pitching feat. Offensively, Bristol scored three runs on four hits.
Bristol improved to 12-3 on the season and leads the combined Zone 1-7 by two games over West Hartford (9-4).
Kevin, thanks for the write-ups but the coach deserves some recognition with an interview…Bill Mason has created a nice squad.
