A memory popped up today on my Sports on CT-69 Facebook page, and I couldn’t help but share it.
Bristol Central was hosting Farmington and Torrington in a tri-team scrimmage on the turf at Bristol Central High School. Here’s the text from that post:

The post was appropriate to share because high school football will be played for the first time since 2019 during the week of Sept. 5-11. There is one game on Thursday, Sept. 9, followed by seven more on Friday, Sept. 10. Here’s the opening week high school football schedule for area teams:
