The former Wilby standout was able to have his family come out and see him play last week. The two games at home were the last ones in the regular season in Wright’s career. The Griz lost to Sacramento State on Thursday, but defeated Portland State on Saturday, which was Senior Night.
What happened last week?
Sacramento State: Wright played 16 minutes in the 67-65 loss and scored 10 points.
Wright was 3-for-7 from the field (1-for-2 on treys) and made three of four free throws. He had one rebound, two assists, four turnovers, one steal and committed one personal foul.
Late in the second half, Wright missed a foul shot, then grabbed the rebound on his miss. He made the ensuing free throws to tie the game at 55 with 5:01 left. Montana missed a 3-pointer in the final seconds to end the game.
Portland State: Wright was in for 19 minutes on Senior Night and scored eight points in an 85-82 win.
Wright for 2-for-5 from the floor (1-for-2 on 3-pointers) and made three of five foul shots. He had four assists, two turnovers and committed one foul.
Wright’s two free throws with 11:35 to go in the game gave Montana its first double-digit lead of the contest. The Griz ended up having to hold off Portland State at the end for the win.
The week ahead
Montana is 14-14 overall, but 9-6 in the Big Sky Conference. The Griz have one game this week, Saturday at rival Montana State.

Not a fun week for the Tigers, who dropped games against Florida and Texas A&M. The former Sacred Heart superstar saw his double-digit scoring streak snapped against the Gators last Tuesday. Heron had scored in double figures in the first 25 games of his career, an Auburn freshman record.
What happened last week?
Florida: The Gators rolled to a 114-95 win in Auburn Arena. Heron played 30 minutes but had a rough night shooting on the way to just nine points. He shot 2-for-12 from the floor, including 0-for-2 on 3-pointers. Heron was a stellar 5-for-5 at the foul line. He had six rebounds, two assists, one turnover, two steals and committed two fouls.
Texas A&M: Heron rebounded with a game-high 20 points last Saturday, but the Tigers were rolled by the Aggies, 81-62. He played 26 minutes and shot 10-for-17 overall, 0-for-3 from three-point range. Heron was 0-for-1 at the foul line. He had five rebounds, two assists, three turnovers, two steals and committed four fouls. Auburn fell behind quickly and couldn’t recover.
The week ahead
Auburn is 16-11 overall, but just 5-9 in SEC play. The Tigers are on the road at LSU on Tuesday, then host Arkansas on Saturday. Auburn needs wins to bolster its tournament hopes.

The Minutemen were blown out on the road at Duquesne, then lost a close one at home to Davidson. Flowers, a former Sacred Heart standout, saw limited action.
What happened last week?
Duquesne: Flowers played just six minutes in the 96-66 loss to the Dukes last Wednesday. He had two points on 1-for-2 shooting (0-for-1 on treys) and three rebounds. Flowers had two assists, two turnovers and didn’t commit a foul.
Davidson: Flowers again played just six minutes in a 79-74 loss to the Wildcats last Saturday. He scored two points on 1-for-3 shooting (0-for-2 on 3-pointers) and grabbed two rebounds. Flowers had one assist, two blocks and committed four fouls.
The week ahead
UMass is 13-14 overall and a paltry 3-11 in the Atlantic-10. The Minutemen are at George Washington on Thursday before returning home for La Salle on Sunday.
