Myah Croze and Karly Martin were both key players for the Bristol Eastern girls soccer team, and they are also key cogs for the Western Connecticut State University squad.
Croze, a junior, scored the eventual game-winning goal at the 87:13 mark to help the Colonials claim a 2-1 victory over the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Croze scored off an assist from Suzana Imetovski, a freshman from Seymour. Croze took three shots in the game and two were on goal.
Martin, a senior, faced an 11-shot barrage from WPI, but turned away 10 of them to claim the win in goal. WPI outshot WCSU, 22-14, including an 11-9 advantage in shots on goal. WCSU had seven corners to five for WPI.
