Wolcott junior Kathryn Rodrigues had a terrific cross country season, and she wound up being among the 10 best runners in New England.
Rodrigues finished eighth in the New England High School Interscholastic Cross Country Championships with a time of 19:04.3. The 5K race was run in Derryfield Park in Manchester, N.H. Prior to the New England meet, Rodrigues finished fourth at the State Open on Nov. 1 at Wickham Park in Manchester. Before the State Open, Rodrigues claimed first place finishes in the NVL and Class SS state championship meets on Oct. 17 and Oct. 26. The NVL meet was held at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Watertown, and the Class SS meet was at Wickham Park.
Rodrigues, a junior, will next compete for the Wolcott indoor track and field team.
