After being one of the top teams in the Connecticut Twilight League for one season, the Terryville Black Sox (9-0) are among the elite in the Connecticut Tri-State Baseball League. Terryville is one of two unbeaten teams, with the other being the Tri-Town Trojans (12-0).
The Black Sox and Trojans are followed in the standings by: Amenia Monarchs (8-2); Bethlehem Plowboys (7-5); Winsted Whalers (6-5); Twisters (Torrington, 5-5); Wolcott Scrappers (6-7); Valley Thunder Ducks (4-6); Burlington Hunters (4-6); Southington 66ers (4-8); Blasius Chevrolet (4-8); Canton Crushers (3-8); Torrington Rebels (0-11).
There are plenty of locals playing in Tri-State, especially on the rosters of Terryville, Wolcott, Valley and Blasius. The playoffs begin on July 23, and all 13 teams will make it. The top three teams get a first round bye.
