Back in late April 2017, I was writing a spring roundup each week for Bristol, Waterbury and Wolcott. The one I wrote for April 29, 2017, included a perfect game.
That perfect game was tossed by Bristol Eastern pitcher Erin Girard, who tossed five innings in a 17-0 victory over Avon at Bristol Eastern High School. Girard faced 15 batters, and struck all 15 out. You read that right. All 15 batters were fanned by Girard.
