Bristol Eastern, Holy Cross ranked in boys soccer coaches polls

The latest Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association boys soccer polls were released on Monday, and two local teams are in the rankings.

Unbeaten Bristol Eastern (9-0-2) is ranked 10th in the Class LL/L poll. The Lancers defeated Hartford Public, 5-0, and Berlin, 2-0, last week. Both of those games were played on the road. Eastern is ranked second in the Class L state tournament standings.

Holy Cross (10-1-2) is ranked sixth in the Class M/S poll. The Crusaders lost for the first time last week, 2-1 to Naugatuck at Ray Snyder Sr. Field on Oct. 14. Holy Cross rebounded with wins over Torrington (2-0) and Waterbury Career Academy (2-1). The Crusaders are ranked second in the Class S state tournament standings.
