A new co-op, and a new team, at Sacred Heart this fall

Sacred Heart High SchoolWhen the fall sports season gets moving next week, the landscape will be a little different at Sacred Heart High School.

Kaynor Tech has joined Sacred Heart in girls soccer to form a co-op. The Panthers bring numbers that will help the Hearts program stay afloat, and that’s always a good thing in a city that doesn’t have a public high school girls soccer team.

“Girls’ soccer has been having a great start to the season,” read a tweet on the Sacred Heart athletics account. “So happy @KT_Athletes is with us. #ctgsoc”

Sacred Heart and Kaynor Tech already join forces in football, and now they will do so on the girls soccer pitch.

Sacred Heart will also be indoors this fall in a place other than the pool. For the first time, the Hearts have a girls volleyball program. Ninth, 10th and 11th grade girls were eligible to play for Sacred Heart volleyball this fall. The team will compete at the junior varsity level to start out.
