Carney grabbed his seventh win of the season against zero losses as the Lancers knocked off Burney and the Rams by a score of 4-2. Eastern improved to 17-2 with the victory, including a 7-1 mark in the CCC South Blue Division. The Lancers claimed the division title by two games over New Britain.

Cory Fradette had a two-run triple for Eastern, which will be the No. 1 seed in Class L for the second straight year. The Lancers have one final game against Hall on Wednesday at Bristol Eastern High School.
Central is 11-8 (4-4 Blue Division) and has one final game at home against Maloney on Wednesday. The Rams are currently 18th in the Class LL state tournament standings.
