Bristol Eastern wrestling turned in a solid effort and finished third at Danbury’s Ryan Sabbagh Holiday Tournament on Monday.
The only teams ahead of the Lancers were the winner Danbury and runner-up New Milford, according to team results posted on Twitter by Danbury News-Times sports reporter Jon Chik.
Zach Marquis and Luis Rivera each took first place in their weight classes for Eastern, according to the school’s athletics Twitter account. Anthony Circosta, Jordon Champagne, Josh Wilson and Mikey Barrett all put together good efforts for the Lancers.
Eastern competes in the Bristol Central Invitational on Saturday.
