If you know college basketball, you’ve heard of Midnight Madness, where teams show off for their fans and practice for the first time.
Well, Wolcott High School has its own kind of Midnight Madness, and it takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 24. The girls soccer, boys soccer and girls volleyball teams will all practice from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. Girls soccer practices again from 4-6 p.m., the boys go from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and volleyball is 2-4 p.m.
Aug. 24 marks the first day that soccer and volleyball teams can practice, but Wolcott does it in a unique way. The idea was conceived by girls soccer head coach Chris Riviezzo.
Boys soccer is coached by Bryan Plona and girls volleyball is led by Briana Daniele.
