The Holy Cross and St. Paul girls soccer teams have met twice this season.
Both times, the road team claimed victory. The Falcons took down the Crusaders at Holy Cross by a score of 4-1 in the season opener on Sept. 8.
On Thursday afternoon, Holy Cross returned the favor with a 1-0 win over St. Paul in Bristol. Junior Adelisse Padilla tallied the lone goal for the Crusaders, and the visiting team’s defense made the score hold up. Both teams have a record of 5-2-2.
After one win apiece, what can these two teams do for an encore? Well, there’s the NVL Tournament for starters. Both teams are also in Class S, and they are neck and neck at 5-2-2. Thursday may not be the last time Holy Cross and St. Paul see each other.
