Pretty? Not really.
Well-played? Not so much.
Another win on the ledger? Yes.
It wasn’t the best game, but Bristol Central boys basketball put another one in the win column on Tuesday with a 48-42 victory over Capital Prep on Senior Night inside Charles C. Marsh Gymnasium. The amazing win streak continues for the Rams, who have won 14 straight games. Central improved to 15-3 with two regular season games left against Wethersfield and city rival Bristol Eastern.
Senior Jaekwon Spencer had another big game with 26 points. Fellow senior Isaiah Miller added eight points.
With two more wins, Central will have its best regular season record since 2013-14, when it went 17-3. That Ram squad earned a No. 3 seed, reached the Class L state semifinals ad finished 20-5.
The current Central team is ranked third in Division II and will play at second-ranked Wethersfield on Thursday.
