The Bristol Central softball team had as good a week as a high school squad can have during the regular season.
The Rams won six times in six days last week. Yes, you read that right. Central won six games in six days.
The Rams continued their winning ways on Monday afternoon by beating South Windsor, 6-1, in South Windsor. Central improved to 16-2 with the victory and has won nine straight games. The Rams haven’t lost since last month, 2-1 to Hall on April 28 to be exact. The South Windsor game is the first of three straight road contests to close the regular season.
Sophia Torreso struck out 17 in the win over South Windsor. Adrianna Lubrico, Alex Sciarretto, Mya Porrini and Sam Sklenka led the offensive attack for the Rams.
Central is scheduled to play at Southington on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. The Rams head across Bristol on Friday to play Eastern at 3:45 p.m.
