St. Paul baseball senior left-hander Brendan Foley put together a pitching performance Monday that he’ll remember for the rest of his life.

Foley threw just 79 pitches over his seven-inning masterpiece. He went 3-2 on four batters and 3-1 on one batter. Foley had one inning where he needed only seven pitches, and another where he used just nine. The most pitches he threw in one inning was 17, which happened in the fourth when he struck out the side. Two of his 3-2 counts came in that fourth inning, and one of those at bats was extended because of a foul ball. Foley got eight outs in the air and three on the ground.
