Bristol Eastern baseball snags much-needed win on the road

The Bristol Eastern baseball team took a long bus ride up 84 East to Storrs picked up a much-needed win, 7-2, over E.O. Smith on Tuesday.

Ryan Maglio tossed a complete game to lead the Lancers (4-8), who snapped a three-game losing streak. He also helped his own cause on offense. Magill got offensive support from Ben D’Amato and Jaydon Churchill.

It’s a busy week for Eastern, which lost Monday to Rocky Hill, 9-5, at Muzzy Field. The Lancers play Middletown on Wednesday at Palmer Field. On Friday, Eastern hosts Plainville.
