Bristol Central softball senior pitcher Sophia Torreso has been unhittable, no, literally unhittable, over the past two games.
The right-hander, who is headed to Division I George Washington University in the fall, threw a perfect game with 18 strikeouts on Monday at Plainville.
What did Torreso do for an encore? How about a no-hitter with 19 strikeouts on Friday? Yup, that’s exactly what Torreso did in a road win over Pomperaug.
Bristol Central, which has another Division I right-handed pitcher in Stonehill College signee and senior Alex Sciarretto, is 5-0 on the season. The Rams are ranked fifth in the state.
