History was made by the Kennedy football team with their 30-14 win over Crosby on Thanksgiving morning at Ray Snyder Sr. Field.
With the victory, the Eagles (7-3) clinched their first-ever state playoff berth. Kennedy will be the No. 8 seed in the Class LL bracket, which puts it up against No. 1 Fairfield Prep (9-1) of the Southern Connecticut Conference. The teams meet next Tuesday in a quarterfinal round game at a time and place to be determined.
