The Bristol Eastern girls basketball team dropped a tough one Monday night at Farmington, 47-31, but the Lancers still have a strong 11-3 record entering the home stretch of the regular season.
Eastern had won four straight games before the loss at Farmington. The Lancers were able to rebound from a tough two-point loss at home to Rocky Hill, 49-47, on Jan. 4 with victories over Wethersfield, Maloney, Bristol Central and Lewis Mills.
When the going was good, a lot of different Lancers were involved. Vanessa Drury, Autumn Udoh and Amanda Noel all had big nights in the win over Lewis Mills. In the victory over city rival Bristol Central, Vanessa Drury, Udoh and Noel were also big in the win over Bristol Central. Eastern also got help in that win from Lauren Ayotte, Leah Roy, Savannah Drury and Cassie Sward.
Eastern looks for a bounce-back win on Friday at home against Northwest Catholic. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The final five regular season games for the Lancers are against Plainville, Platt, Berlin, Middletown and Central.
