Bristol Central girls volleyball wins for first time ever at Eastern

The Bristol Central girls volleyball team ended a 28-year winless drought against cross-city rival Bristol Eastern last season with a 3-0 home win.

On Monday night, the Rams again beat the Lancers, 3-0, and it was again an historic victory. For the first time, Central topped Eastern as the visiting team. Prior to Monday, the Rams had never won at the home of the Lancers. The set scores were 25-18, 25-13, 25-12.

Lily Kirk had 14 kills, 10 digs and two aces to pace Central, which improved to 12-6. Grace Higgins had 10 kills, 11 digs and 15 serve receives while Alex Rivera tallied 26 assists, 10 digs and three total blocks. Daigelis Figueroa contributed 13 digs and 11 serve receives while Ella Pratt accumulated five total blocks. Isabella Alves added two total blocks and seven digs. Eastern hadn’t posted any stats as of this post. The Lancers fell to 11-6.
