Bristol soccer duo of Croze and Martin win LEC weekly awards again

The Bristol soccer duo of Myah Croze and Karly Martin continue to amaze during the 2021 season for the Western Connecticut State University women’s soccer team.

Croze, a junior, and Martin, a senior, claimed Little East Conference individual weekly awards for the third time this season. Croze was LEC Offensive Player of the Week while Martin was Goalkeeper of the Week. Both are former Bristol Eastern standouts.

Croze scored three goals over a two-match span, including the game-winner in the second overtime of a 1-0 win over Castleton this past Saturday. The game-winner was her Division III-best eighth of the season, as was her 16th goal. Martin made five saves in the 1-0 win over Castleton and didn’t have to record one in a 3-0 shutout of Eastern Connecticut State earlier in the week.

WCSU is 10-0 (4-0 LEC) entering this evening’s non-conference match against Worcester State. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 o’clock in Danbury.
