Nate DiLoreto isn’t the only goalkeeper from a Bristol area school that will be playing Division I soccer.
St. Paul senior standout Nina Zwolinski signed her National Letter of Intent to American University of Washington, D.C. Zwolinski, an all-league and all-state level goalkeeper, will make a nice addition to American’s roster.
“@AU_WSoccer has added a great leader, dedicated student-athlete and exceptional goalkeeper to their roster,” read a tweet from the St. Paul athletics account on Friday morning.
Zwolinski and the Falcons went 6-3-1 during their truncated regular season this fall. St. Paul earned the No. 2 seed in the NVL North (Iron) Division tournament, but never played a game. The NVL canceled all postseason experiences on Monday out of an abundance of caution with regard to rising coronavirus cases.
American had a record of 6-8-4 in 2019.
