Brooks (Marshall athletics) |
You can’t help but feel bad for Marshall sophomore Khadaijia Brooks.
The former Bristol Eastern superstar was once again bitten by the injury bug in practice last week. Brooks tore her ACL, according to a story on the website of The Herald-Dispatch of Huntington, W.V.
At Bristol Eastern, Brooks missed a bunch of her freshman season with an injury.
Marshall will miss her inside presence in the coming games. Brooks was the team’s second-leading rebounder at 6.5 per game.
Here’s hoping Brooks heals quickly and gets back out on the court.
Here are Brooks’ stats for the season: 22 games/21 starts; 647 minutes/29.4 per game; 66-133 FG (49.6%); 20-57 3-PT (35.1%); 19-28 FT (67.9%); 143 rebounds/6.5 per game; 40 personal fouls/0 disqualifications; 33 assists; 26 turnovers; 14 blocks; 18 steals; 171 points/7.8 per game.

The difference this time around was the Rebels were able to come back and win, 90-84. For the second straight game, the Tigers gave up more than 60 points in the second half.
