This date in history: Holy Cross baseball stuns St. Paul with seventh-inning rally

May 18, 2018: Holy Cross baseball entered the bottom of the seventh inning of its home game against St. Paul trailing by three runs.

The Crusaders were battling injuries, and a shutout being thrown by Falcon starter Ethan Rembish. In the span of a half-inning, however, Holy Cross turned defeat into victory with a stunning rally, 4-3, over St. Paul.

Fran Phelan Jr. had a big two-run double, then the Crusaders tied and won the game on a pair of RBI infield singles from Brian Parzyck and Austin Brown. After being stifled for six innings, Holy Cross hit the ball in the right spots at the right time to pull off the comeback victory.

Here is my story about that game.
