D.J. Jarrett, a former standout at Kennedy, has been showing what a terrific all-around student-athlete he is at Post University.
Jarrett, a senior, was recently named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Student-Athlete of the Month. The award goes to a student-athlete who excels on the court, in the classroom, and in the community, according to a league press release. Jarrett easily satisfied all three requirements.
For Jarrett, it goes beyond the box score and what happens on the court. Besides helping the Eagles near the top of the CACC’s North Division, Jarrett sports a 3.20 grade point average as a sports management major. Outside of school, Jarrett has contributed to the Waterbury community and beyond by helping out.
Jarrett has played in all 20 games, including one start. He is averaging 7.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15 minutes per contest.
