Tri-State all-star game to benefit autism organization

The Connecticut Tri-State Baseball League will hold an all-star game on Saturday, June 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Torrington’s Fuessenich Park. All Tri-State teams will be represented in the game, but that’s not what’s important about this contest.

The game is free to attend, but all donations–which can be made at the gate–will go to the FOCUS Center for Autism in Canton. Clients and alumni of FOCUS will sing the National Anthem and throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Tri-State commissioner Ed Gadomski said local radio station WAPJ will broadcast live from the game. Food truck Val’s Vittles will be at the game as well.

The FOCUS Center for Autism seeks to help children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, and other related disorders, achieve their full potential, according to the organization’s website. You can read more about the organization at their website, focuscenterforautism.org.
