Holy Cross boys golf has put together an undefeated season to date, and the Crusaders are playing more consistently each time out.
The team scores for the last four matches go like this: 169, 168, 162, 162. The low number for the season was a 161 against Torrington at Western Hills Golf Course on April 25. The Crusaders haven’t done worse than a 179, and that came against Naugatuck on April 24 at Hop Brook Golf Course in Naugatuck.
The top five golfers for Holy Cross are Alex Ford, Chris Ford, Vincent Graziano, Thomas Moran and Nate Erdtmann. The low number of 39 has been shot by three different golfers: Edrtmann, Graziano and Alex Ford. All of them have had their 39 on a different day.
Alex Ford and Moran played for Holy Cross in the 38th annual Jack Stigberg Memorial Tournament on May 8 at Farmingbury Hills Golf Course in Wolcott. Ford and Moran combined for a three-over-par 73 and finished fifth in the best-ball tournament.
