In a battle of Waterbury teams, Kaynor Tech boys basketball edged Waterbury Career Academy 60-55 at home on Tuesday night.
The Panthers picked up their first victory of the season and improved to 1-4. Kaynor Tech has played a tough schedule so far, and it doesn’t get any easier with games against Capital Prep Thursday and Kennedy next Monday. The win was a big one for the Panthers, who were able to get over the hump against the Spartans.
Waterbury Career Academy dropped to 3-2 on the season. The Spartans face a potentially tough home test on Friday against Immaculate from Danbury.
