It was a frustrating season for Bristol Eastern boys basketball in 2018-19, but it ended on a high note Monday evening.
The Lancers took down the city rival Rams of Bristol Central, 57-51, inside the Charles C. Marsh Gymnasium at BCHS. Eastern finished the season at 5-15 while Central awaits its state tournament seed after ending up at 8-12.
Elijah Parent led the Lancers with 23 points while Donovan Clingan paced all scorers with 35 points for the Rams. Eastern got some good efforts from Issac Dubay, Bryce Curtin, Carter Dziedzic, Jachyrus Lawrence-Bynum, Tyler Donohue and Jordyn Tate, according to a tweet from Bristol Eastern athletics. Dziedzic scored 13 points and was able to end a frustrating senior season with a win over the rival Rams.
