Bristol Eastern boys are on a three-game winning streak

Bristol Eastern boys basketball has won three straight games to get to 4-2 on the season. The Lancers have knocked off Watertown, Derby and Hall during the win streak.

Eastern started the winning streak with a 58-47 victory at Watertown on Dec. 27. The Lancers outscored the Indians 23-13 in the second quarter to build a 13-point halftime lead. A tough third quarter allowed Watertown to get back to within three points, but Eastern outscored its hosts 16-8 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Carter Dziedzic scored 24 points to lead the Lancers. Jordyn Tate struck for 12 points while Jahcyrus Bynum tallied 11 points.

The winning streak continued with a 56-43 home win over Derby on Dec. 29. Dziedzic scored 20 points while Bynum added 15 points. Dziedzic, Bynum, Bryce Curtin and Dylan Woodsome all helped out on the backboards for Eastern.

In its most recent game, Eastern took down Hall 68-57. The Lancers raced out to a 35-15 halftime lead. Hall got back to within single digits in the second half, but Eastern was able to pull away. Dziedzic (24) and Bynum (19) once again led the Lancers in the scoring department. Elijah Parent was also in double figures with 11 points.
