The All-NVL football teams have been released, and not surprisingly there are a bunch of locals on those squads.
Wolcott senior quarterback Mike Polzella threw for 3,349 yards in 10 games and earned All-NVL accolades. Dangerous Holy Cross senior receiver DeAndre Wallace was also named All-NVL. St. Paul senior Dom Aiello was chosen for the offensive line, and Holy Cross junior Corey Fappiano was taken as the kicker/punter.
Six locals were chosen for the All-NVL defense. St. Paul senior Eric Langland, Crosby senior Bernardo Mbaya and Kennedy junior Marquis Blagmon were taken for the defensive line. At linebacker, there was Wolcott junior Nate Filippone and WCA sophomore Jalen Gopie. WCA senior Jaden Battle was chosen for the secondary.
