The AABC Stan Musial World Series starts today with four games at Waterbury Municipal Stadium’s Bob Palmer Field.
The Tri-State League’s Naugatuck Dogs and Watertown Blaze won’t take the field until the final two games of the day. Up first at the Stadium at 10 a.m. is a matchup between Steel City (Pennsylvania) and the Nassau Yankees (Long Island). The 1 p.m. game brings a matchup between the Syracuse Yankees (New York) and North Haledon (New Jersey).
At 4 p.m., the Connecticut runner-up Naugatuck Dogs face the Albany Athletics (New York). In the 7 p.m. game, the state champion Watertown Blaze go up against the Bourne Mariners (Massachusetts).
If you haven’t been to the renovated Bob Palmer Field, this is a good chance to go. You’ll see a great park, along with some great baseball.
