The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced Friday that Post University will host the 2017 baseball tournament at Municipal Stadium.
The tournament starts May 6 with first round games at the higher seed’s venue, then it switches to a double elimination format from May 11-13 at Municipal.
Post will even more motivation to return to the double elimination tournament. One, they’ll be able to stay home, and two, they haven’t been since it was held in Wilmington, Del., two years ago.
Since there will be 12 teams who play baseball in 2017, eight will make the tournament as opposed to the six in past years. The four first-round winners go to Municipal for the double elimination portion of the tournament.
