The Wolcott girls tennis team lost back-to-back team matches at Naugatuck and Sacred Heart on April 11 and 13.
The defeats dropped the Eagles to 3-2 on the season. Wolcott has won seven straight since, including big 4-3 wins on the road against Watertown (April 20) and Woodland (April 29).
The seven-match winning streak has slid the Eagles into the No. 7 slot in the Class S rankings.
The Wolcott girls are coached by Steve Jalusavic. The Eagles have six seniors listed on their CIAC roster: Olivia Beaulieu, Kaylee Bosques, Sarah Burton, Alyssa Karpicki, Karmali Shastri and Erica Zizolli.
Wolcott is scheduled to play Wilby today at 3:30 p.m. at Wilby High School. The Eagles are slated to host Naugatuck tomorrow, then take some time off before hosting Watertown next Monday.
