It’s hard to quantify the career that senior goalkeeper and captain Zach Federowicz has had with St. Paul boys soccer, but try this number on for size.
Thirty. That would be the number of shutouts Federowicz has recorded in his career. Shutout No. 30 came tonight against Wilby, 4-0 at Waterbury’s Ray Snyder Sr. Field, located next to Municipal Stadium.
Federowicz has been in the goal for St. Paul since he was a freshman, and he has only gotten better every single match, every single year. The Falcons finish the regular season 10-5-1, thanks to Federowicz and a tough defensive backfield. Federowicz has been a vocal leader from his position in goal. Federowicz, an ALL-NVL and All-State performer next year, is headed to Quinnipiac University this coming fall.
There is unfinished business for St. Paul, however, and it starts Saturday in the qualifying round of the NVL Tournament.
