The Bristol Eastern boys indoor track and field team saw a school record get shattered at the 38th Yale Interscholastic Track Classic at Yale University’s Coxe Cage.
The distance medley relay team of Seth Anderson, Joe Hardin, Benjamin Johnsky and Logan Crowley finished sixth in the Connecticut race in 11:26.22. The old time, according to a Twitter post from Johnsky, was 11:51. It was a terrific effort from the Lancers quartet, and one of two sixth place finishes in distance medley events. The girls distance medley relay of Fiona Gallagher, Audra Porowski, Victoria Kosciukiewicz and Avery Braccia took sixth in the Connecticut race in 13:19.7.
Wolcott had a pair of solid individual finishes at the Yale meet. Kathryn Rodrigues finished eighth in the girls 3,000m championship race in 10:22.54 while Nicholas Bendtsen was ninth in the boys 3,000m championship race in 8:49.24.
