Bristol Central boys score game’s last 15 points to take down Lewis Mills

The Lewis Mills boys basketball team had a three-point lead in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game against Bristol Central in the Charles C. Marsh Gymnasium.

The Spartans had the advantage, but the Rams ran off the final 15 points and pulled off a 67-55 win over the Spartans. Joey Pikiell erupted for a game-high 28 points to lead Central. The Rams have won four of their last five games and improved to 6-8 on the season. Central sank eight of eight free throws during that 15-0 run. Quincy Lawson scored 15 points and Gavin Chamberlin added 11.

Gavin Daly led a balanced Mills attack with 18 points. Tommy Dinunzio (13), Chad Edmon (12) and Brett Harding (10) also hit for double figures for the Spartans, who fell to 5-9.
