St. Paul boys and girls soccer had its share of All-NVL performers, but none stood out more than senior captain and keeper Zach Federowicz.
Federowicz was named NVL Player of the Year and honored during the tournament at Ray Snyder Sr. Field in Waterbury. All Federowicz did was post nine shutouts this season, giving him a career mark of 30. Impressive numbers from the Quinnipiac-bound keeper.
Federowicz had help in the defensive backfield, and one of those helpers was senior Jackson Hines. Hines was named All-NVL for his contributions. You won’t find many players better at using their head than Hines. Federowicz and Hines are two leaders for Tony Leone’s boys team.
For the girls, seniors Jillian Kilmer and Josselyn Zaldivar were chosen as All-NVL for their efforts. Kilmer’s speed and athleticism make her a tough matchup for anyone, and Zaldivar can play anywhere on the field. Both are also leaders of Jim Husbands’ Falcons.
