Mount Ida College sophomore Joey DeFillippi was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for his recent efforts.
The announcement was made by the league today in a press release. All the former Bristol Central standout did last week was become the 15th Mount Ida player to tally 30 points. DeFillippi had 30 points and shot 10-of-15 from the field, including 5-of-8 from three-point range. He was also 5-for-5 from the foul line. DeFillippi had four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a stat sheet-filling night.
Mount Ida plays two games this week, starting with tomorrow’s home league contest against Johnson & Wales of Rhode Island.
