Tyson Brenes (5), Parker Zynda (3) and Damien Georges (14) are just a few of the standouts during Wolcott boys soccer’s four-match win streak.
The Wolcott boys soccer team has won four straight matches since dropping a 1-0 decision at Torrington in the season opener.
The Eagles have defeated Crosby, WCA, Bristol Central and Oxford, outscoring their opponents, 12-3, over that stretch.
Six of those 12 goals have come from sophomore Tyson Brenes, and three of those happened in a 5-1 win over Bristol Central this past Wednesday. Tyson has scored all six of his goals in the last three matches, including two in a 3-1 victory over WCA on Sept. 9. The hat trick against Central followed, then he had one and one assist in a 2-0 win over Oxford this past Friday.
Alex Dias has scored two goals during the four-match win streak. Senior Parker Zynda and junior JJ Brenes have tallied a goal and two assists apiece during the streak. Sophomores Connor Silva and Marcos Franco Sarmiento each have a goal, and Nick DeMelo and Mandjou Keita have provided an assist apiece.
Senior Sam Berninger has made 19 saves in the last three matches, including a high of nine in the victory over WCA on Sept. 9.
