The Wolcott boys’ basketball team gave first-year head coach Anthony Giampetruzzi an early Christmas present Thursday night.
Wolcott defeated Woodland, 67-51, inside the friendly confines of John H. Morris Gymnasium. The Eagles, who lost their first two games on the road to Brookfield and Kennedy, improved to 1-2 with the win. Terrance Stevens continued to lead the team offensively, pouring in a game-high 28 points. Jayvon Morais added 15 points.
Wolcott’s last game of 2022 is next Tuesday at WCA at 6 p.m. The Eagles don’t play again until Jan. 3, when they host Holy Cross at 7 p.m.
