The St. Paul girls’ basketball team made its annual trek to Fairfield for the two-day Todd Burger Holiday Tournament. The Falcons returned to Bristol with one win, one loss and a 3-1 overall record.
Audrey Tice made the all-tournament team after compiling 36 points (19 on Tuesday, 17 on Wednesday) over the two games. St. Paul lost to Fairfield Ludlowe, 47-37, on Tuesday, then hammered Staples of Westport, 59-27, on Wednesday.
In the win over Staples, Becca Kelly had a big day with 16 points while Hailey Orzel filled the stat sheet with eight points, seven assists and five steals. St. Paul led, 19-9, after one quarter, then ran to a 42-13 advantage by halftime.
The Falcons play at Wolcott on Friday at 7 p.m.
